Trey was born into an artistic family in 1971, and he learned early on to appreciate the landscapes and cityscapes of Georgia. Even as a very young artist, Trey sold his artwork at fairs and flea markets to pay for his supplies, and his talent was easily recognizable. In fact, Trey was awarded a full scholarship to study still life and abstract painting at the Savannah College of Art and Design, graduating Summa Cum Laude and chosen to be class salutatorian. Trey went on receive a Master’s degree from Georgia State University and the promise he exhibited there led the university to offer him a position teaching painting.

In addition to creating his own masterful artwork, Trey continues to teach, believing that “as long as one teaches, one learns.”
