Tony Pridham

Wildlife artist Tony Pridham was born in Australia in 1964 and began selling watercolors at the age of 14 in Melbourne. He studied at the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology and has become best known for his bird paintings; his work hangs in the world’s most important collection of that genre, at the Leigh Yawkey Woodsen Art Museum in Wisconsin. Pridham’s work also appears in the collection of the Natural World Museum in San Francisco and in many galleries in the U.S. and abroad. In 1991, he won the British Society of Animal Arists’ Best New Artist award, and was elected to the Society of Animal Artists in New York in 1997. His work has been featured in the 2001 publication “Feather and Brush: Three Centuries of Australian Bird Art” and in several international magazines.
