Born in the 40s to Italian parents, Tito studied art at the prestigious School of Fine Arts in Buenos Aires. Upon graduation, Tito moved to the US and began to pursue many different kinds of artistic endeavors, at one point owning a gourmet restaurant on Melrose in West Hollywood, CA. In 1996, due to increasing demand for his paintings, Tarrago sold his restaurant and focused his attentions on his passion for the visual arts. As an impressionist, Tito likes to capture the very essence of his subjects, finding the same accessible warmth in his local surroundings as he does fond memories of people and places. Tito Tarrago's work can also be located in important collections in Washington D.C., Chile, and Cairo, Egypt.
