Richard Williams

Richard E. Williams is known for his delicate and perceptive artwork, which has landed him at the forefront of today’s art world. Particularly known for his deep concentration on and study of “the object” in his paintings, Williams has been honored and collected both in the United States and abroad. He was honored by the University of Southern Mississippi, who requested a history of his life for their Oral History Program; this notable document can be found in major libraries across the country. Williams has also been listed in Who’s Who in American Art, biographical directory of important people in the visual arts community in the USA. In addition to the numerous group and solos shows in which Williams has participated, his art has been collected by the likes of Curt Gowdy, Barbara Mandrell, Tom Jones, President Bill Clinton, Haywood Sullivan, and Carl Yastremski. In fact, during former President Jimmy Carter’s administration, Richard painted a piece for the White House collection.
