Hailing from Jacksonville, Florida, Richard McGee is a painter and graphic artist who draws inspiration from a lifetime of scenes and images from his pursuits as an outdoor enthusiast. He is not fond of labels, but McGee describes his style as “narrative art” in that each of his pieces tells a story inspired by places and moments he’s actually experienced. Whether the subject is a whitetail deer, a landscape scene, or the denizens of the bayou, McGee wants the viewer to enjoy the virtual experience of the subject. He says his biggest reward as an artist is when viewers of his art say, ‘I've been there - that's how it looks".
