E. Denis was born in 1971 in Byelorussia. He was the youngest child in the family and all of his free time was spent painting. Denis's passion was fostered by his parents, who were both architects, and his grandfather who devoted his life to photography. His grandfather was a special war photo correspondent during World War II, and taught Denis to look at ordinary things from a different angles.

Denis began his art career working on icon reliefs for church bells. His church bells can be found in more than 100 churches in Russia, Byelorussia, Ukraine, Baltic States and USA. Denis's focus is photo realism, particularly that of red wine.
