Adriana Naveh was born in 1963 in Argentina. She graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts at the De Cuyo University (Argentina). In 1985 she immigrated to Israel and studied the art of etching and drawing at the Avni Institute in Tel Aviv. There, she learned from and received inspiration from well known artists such as Ian Rauchwerger. In 1989 Naveh became employed as an artist at the Calman Shemi studio and in 2000 began teaching drawing at a variety of institutions including the renowned Yad Lebanim Mueseum in Petach Tikva and the Amamit University in Jerusalem. Naveh uses the medium of plaster spackle over wide open spaces and infuses a strong simplicity in her works. Her subjects include females in deep thought, standing in simple poses highlighted with backgrounds of soft color and household objects, images that are inspired by everyday life. Adriana Naveh's works can be found in collections in Argentina, Israel, Spain, France and the United States. She has exhibited her works recently in the Artexpo in New York, USA Moriah Gallery (2003).
