Born in Minsk, Belarus in 1960, Alexander Borewko graduated in 1982 from A. Hlebaw Minsk School of Art. In 1987, he completed his studies at the Academy of Art Republic Belarus. Borewko also studied architecture and became engaged in the restoration of medieval Russian works of art. Borewko left Belarus in the 1990's, traveling to Paris where he was inspired by the work of the Late Impressionists. Ultimately, he immigrated to Israel where he continues painting in watercolor and oil with rich textures.
