The artist known simply as Vidan was born in Perugia, Italy – a small town situated between Rome and Florence – that is known for its universities and rich artistic heritage. From the time he was very young, Vidan knew he wanted to be an artist. He attended some of the most acclaimed art schools in Italy including Liceo Artistico di Milano, as well as the Accademia delle Belle Arti.

Exhibiting great talent, Vidan soon broadened his horizons and immigrated to the United States in 1988, where he quickly became an illustrator of ‘Romance Art’ for some of the leading book publishing companies in the country such as Doubleday, Harper-Collins, Harlequin, Zebra, Berkley, and Ballantine. Meanwhile, Vidan’s uncle was world renowned artist Pino (1939 – 2010), who had settled in the US many years before his young nephew did. After two decades as an illustrator, Vidan pursued his dream to create Fine Art, and finally began to study with his famous uncle. It is often said that Vidan’s potential and progress is reminiscent of Pino’s earlier work, however, Vidan has amply proven to be extraordinarily talented in his own right. He began his career as a gallery artist in 2004, and has become one of America’s premier Expressive artists, with his works collected throughout the US and Canada.
