Maria Zielinska (a.k.a. Marysia Burr) was born in 1956 in the southern Polish city of Wadowice. Zielinska began her study of art at the Bielsko-Biala High School of Fine Arts, from which she graduated Magna Cum Laude. Zielinska continued her art education at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw. Shortly thereafter she made the decision to move to Southern California. The new environment had a great effect on her art as she began to include more landscapes and nature scenes. Many of Zielinksa's paintings have been exhibited in the most prestigious galleries throughout Europe and the U.S. Her limited edition works have been published in Los Angeles by Collectors Editions, and she has been represented by Marco Fine Arts, Collectors Editions, Siegel Fine Arts, Grand Image, and Bentley Publishing Group.
