Born in 1977 to an all-American family, Liz Rider showed remarkable painting talent from a very young age. In her childhood and early teens, Rider also toured the country for tennis tournaments, a practice which instilled in her the rigor and intensity she also applies to her career as an artist. This dedication won Rider a full scholarship for painting and photography at the University of Georgia at Athens. With this formal background and her own experimental style, Rider creates remarkable art that is a blend of the abstract and the natural.
