Lindsay Dawson was born in Palo Alto, California and studied painting at Oregon State University. After graduating he attended the famed Art Center in Pasadena, CA where he studied under John Asaro and Dan McCaw. He later began his career painting for major film studios in California. Over the years, he became disenchanted with commercial art and decided he wanted to create something more lasting. He entered his creative piece in the California Arts League annual show and won first prize. After that, Lindsay started showing his work in galleries across the country full time. Today his paintings are collected around the world from Japan to France. Lindsay contniues to paint out of Sherman Oaks, California where he currently resides with his wife, Cathy.
