After a youth spent fascinated by art and films, John Rowe began his studies at the prestigious Art Center College of Design in Los Angeles. Upon graduation, he began his career as an illustrator. It was not long before he was being commissioned to create images for movie posters, books, billboards, magazines, and advertisements around the world. Among his most notable clients are the Academy of Motion Pictures, Disney Fine Art, the Library of Congress, Mattel, Oxford University Press, the San Diego Zoo, Universal Studios, and Warner Brothers.

In addition to created popular or commercial art, Rowe explores other artistic outlets. He paints for the joy and expression of it. As he explains, “Through my work I hope to remind you and myself how truly wonderful, complex, and vivid life is. Whether we are looking into the eyes of someone we love, or struggling just to breath, life is a priceless gift.”
