Michael Nedkov graduated from the High School of Fine Art in Sofia, Bulgaria and then went on to attend the Academy of Fine Arts to study poster design. In 1974 he won a major poster competition, establishing himslef as one of the top poster designers in Bulgaria. He went on to take on significant projects such as building a 12 foot ceramic mural for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and a 24 foot ceramic mural for the Sport Center Pleven. Nedkov's first one man exhibition was held in 1982 at the Sofia theatre. It featured a wide variety of his works including oil paintings and ceramic creations. In 1985, Nedkov held his first international exhibition in Athens, Greece. Soon to follow would be two more shows in 1986 and 1988 which were held at the pretigious Bulgarian Cultural Center in Netherlands in Hague. In th 90's Nedkov accepted a job heading the advertising department for Rothman's of Pall Mall. In 1997 he and his family moved to the United States and has held a series of sucessful exhibitions: 2003 West End Gallery, Fullerton, California; 2002-2003 American Art Gallery, Carmel, California; 2001 Sunbird Gallery, Salinas, California.
