Lynn Gertenbach

Lynn Gertenbach is a California impressionist landscape painter, noted for her paintings of Malibu State Park, near Los Angeles.

Gertenbach studied art at The Art Institute of Colorado, in Denver; at the Layton School of Art and Design, in Pasadena; The Art Center College of Design, in Pasadena; and at University of California, Los Angeles. She also studied with noted artists Sergei Bongart and Philip Gilkerson, as well as with Bernard Dunstan in England and Arul Raj in India.

During her 40-plus year career, Gertenbach has exhibited her artwork in Europe and South America, and for 11 years she traveled to Japan to appear at her biannual shows. She has received numerous Gold Medal awards and the Lifetime Achievement Award from The Art Institute of Colorado; and she has exhibited in group shows at the Laguna Art Museum, in Laguna Beach, California; the Pacific Asia Museum, in Pasadena, California; and the Isetan Museum of Art, in Tokyo. In 2002, Gertenbach won First prize in the landscape category in the prestigious Autumn Salon held at the Edenhurst Gallery, in Beverly Hills, California.

Gertenbach is a signature member of the Oil Painters of America, the California Art Club, and the Plein-Air Painters of America.
