Louise Matarazzo has studied exclusively with Francis Weston Hoyt, New Hampshire landscape artist and naturalist. Louise’s watercolors are distinguished by their intensity of color and gentleness of form. Louise lives with her husband, Jim, in an 18th century grist mill which they have restored; her studio was formerly the hayloft. In addition to exhibiting in her own gallery (the final touch on Church Street in Montclair) during the early 1980’s, she has more recently exhibited at Nathans Gallery in West Paterson, The Lamington Church Art Show and St. John Neumann’s Art Show. Her paintings are displayed in many private collections here and in Europe. Louise’s most recent lithograph, “Sunflowers”, may be seen at the Tewksbury Greenhouse in Oldwick, New Jersey.
