Liz Jardine grew up in New York City. Each Sunday she would travel to various museums with her father who also paints, to view the artwork of the masters. This was the foundation for her artistic interest. As an undergraduate at the Sate University of New York in Buffalo, Jardine focused on textile design as well as clay forms. She began to include fibers into porcelain all pieces. This series of work earned her a solo exhibition before graduation from the University.
