Contemporary Impressionism artist Leon Roulette is best known for his contemporary landscapes and cityscapes and his vibrantly translucent florals. Painting in oil, Roulette has mastered illumination and light as it passes through the petal of a flower or through a cloud in the sky.

Born in 1959, and raised in Southern California, Leon began studying art as a child through private instruction and obtained his Bachelor of Arts degree majoring in fine art at California State University of Long Beach. His studies included historical and classical fine art as well as the theory of architecture and design. Early in his career he spent a number of years as an art instructor in Southern California.
