Born into a family of renowned artists in Atlanta, Georgia, Len Abbott was always surrounded by a creative atmosphere. For most of his youth, Abbott was self-taught as an artist, but a few years after high school, he enrolled in the Atlanta College of Art where he delved into his passion for painting. Abbott soon transferred to the University of Georgia in Athens where he studied under world-renowned painter Jim Herbert and eventually earned his degree as a Bachelor of Fine Arts, following in time by a Master of Fine Arts degree.

Since his teenage years Abbott has connected deeply with Abstract Expressionism and his attentive attitude reveals itself in the intricate details of his art, complemented by his free brushstrokes. Abbott’s art has been exhibited in a number of exemplary institutions and is collected all around the country.
