Already from an artistic family, Lee White (1948-2004) began his formal training at the California College of Commercial Design at Los Angeles City College. White later received a degree in Fine Arts from the California Institute of Arts.

Being raised in California and spending much of his time in the Southeast United States as well as traveling through the Caribbean, White’s work is influenced heavily by the cultural diversity he has experienced. His warm colors and deeply emotive themes also reflect his travels and experiences.

His prolific work, exquisite figuratives, abstract expressions, still-lifes and collages are in private and corporate collections across the United States, in Europe and throughout the world. He died at age 56.
