Though Kelly Jane exhibited a great degree of artistic talent since childhood, she believed her passion to be in the fields of architecture and design. For years, Jane pursued a career as an Interior Designer/Architectural Technician where she designed the décor and furnishings for pubs and clubs. Though the job required creative thought and an artistic eye, Jane was still required to adhere to someone else’s vision, and she yearned for the creative control of a full-time artist. While Jane was working at Belgravia Picture Framing, she realized that she could paint pieces of the same caliber as the ones that she was framing to be sold. Finally, Jane’s friends and family encouraged her to submit her artwork to a gallery. Her confidence in her artistic ability grew with every piece that she sold.

Jane is an entirely self taught artist, a fact that makes her colorful paintings all the more impressive to behold. Jane is influenced by colors, though the inspiration rarely mirrors the final subject; the mud on a pair of well-loved shoes can become the inspiration for a landscape.
