A remarkable young talent, Kanka’s path as an artist is an unusual one. After graduating from art school, he quickly became an art teacher while in his early twenties. Unlike most people who try to make a living as an artist and turn to teaching to supplement their income, Kanka took the reverse route. The paintings he created in his free time were bought at such high prices that he couldn’t afford to only be an art teacher; his income as an artist was much greater.

Kanka’s artwork has been very well received in South America. He has displayed his work in numerous prestigious galleries including the Galeria Los Olivos, Galeria Chagall, Galeria el Tuneluni, and the Club La Union. Kanka’s work is only now coming to the United States, where it has also be lauded extensively.
