Jorge Dumas was born in Montevido, Uruguay in 1928. At the age of Sixteen Dumas began to study drawing at "Taller Torres Garcia". By the time Daumas reached the age of Sixteen he had his first show in which his drawings were displayed along with Hungarian Sculpture Anthony Khun in Sao Paolo Brazil. Dumas worked as a set Designer for the "Modern Dances of Miryan Winslow" and as an illustrator for the newspaper "El Labraso". Over the course of his career Dumas has had numerous shows throughout South America and the United States.
