Gagik Tadeosyan, who is also known as Taosyan, was born in 1961 in the city if Artashat, Republic of Armenia. His family noticed early on that their son had a natural talent for painting. The immediately enrolled him into the School of Art in Artashat. He completed his education with honors. By the age of 14, Taosyan organized his first exhibition of his works at the State Theater in Artashat. The following year he contributed to the Art Exhibition organized by the Ministry of Culture in the capital of Armenia. By the age of 17 Taosyan was the chief artist and designer of the Artashat Design Firm.

In 1983, at the age of 22, Taosyan was inducted into the Art Department of Armenia’s Institute of Education. After graduation he continued to hold exhibitions throughout Europe.
