Born in Perm, Russia in 1940, Felix Ismaridov was passionate about art from a very young age. By the age of twenty he had already graduated from the Kazan Art School and in 1972 he graduated from the prestigious V. I. Mukhina Art College in St. Petersburg, Russia. Since then he has exhibited extensively and been well-received; in 1976 his first painting was purchased by the Perm Fine Art Museum, and the following year he was accepted into the exclusive Union of Artists in the USSR. For five years in the 1990s Ismaridov was a senior lecturer, a full professor, and the head of the Chair of Applied Arts of the Ural branch of the Russian Academy of Painting, Sculpture, and Architecture. Ismaridov continues to exhibit his work in fine art galleries at home and abroad and his work is collected in Russia, Finland, Germany, Belgium, Italy, Japan, Israel, Turkey, and the United States, among other countries around the world.
