Born in Southern California, Erica Wolfsen combines the slickness of pop culture iconography with the expressive beauty of her unique point of view. Wolfsen started painting when she was fourteen after visiting Coronado School of the Arts. That initial visit left her in awe and she quickly put together a portfolio. She was accepted but when she enrolled she was confronted with the reality that her passion for art eclipsed her actual skill. Not to be deterred, she drew and painted furiously. Slowly, her skills improved and she ultimately she graduated with honors from both the Coronado School of the Arts and the University of California San Diego. Now an accomplished artist, she regularly exhibits throughout Southern California. With two texts under her belt, Wolfsen has been teaching art and developing curriculums for the last eight years.
