Domenico Zachary

Born in Venice in 1938, Domenico Zachary attended the prestigious Institute of Arts in Turin. Zachary specialized in the 'Flemish' style landscape, a term that refers to "Early Netherlandish Painting" in the fifteenth century, and characterized by the use of oil paint instead of tempera. With exhibitions in Turin and Venice in 1964 and 1978 respectively, Zachary was awarded the "Valle Giulia Award" in 1972, a considerable honor, and a nod from a very discerning art community.
