For Deborah Cotrone, painting is as natural as breathing. Born and raised in Connecticut, she takes all of the charm of the eastern states adn returns it to us in an impressionistic interpretation, composing her canvases with a wonderful balance of color, grace and light. Both a plein-air as well as a studio painter, Cotrone has studied at Paire College of Art in Connecticut and the Frudakis Academy in Philadelphia. For the past eight years she has been painting seriously, exhibiting her work widely in Connecticut, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Dallas, Vermont and New York. She has a universal style which tends to be either soft and etheral or more sharply focused when color is the key. The vitality of Cotrone's work is maintained by her balanced approach to life, a blend of hard work in the studio and a diversity of outside interests.
