David Lloyd Glover

"Let there be Light and David Glover will find it." David Glover uses the difficult medium of watercolor to create life like images that posses a photo like realness. Born in Victoria, British Columbia, in 1949, Glover showed an innate gift for drawing and painting at an early age. As an elementary student, Glover was given the chance to study with artists twice his age at the Public Art Gallery of Victoria. At the age of Fourteen, Glover was accepted at the Vancouver School of Fine Arts, but instead chose to pursue a posistion as an illustrator for the Victoria Times. He was quickly promoted to editorial cartoonist, becoming the youngest political satirist in Canada. Glover's works and commissioned portraits are in private collections in Canada, the United States, and twenty-five of David's paintings are housed in the prestigious Royal British Columbia Museum.
