Bracha Guy was born in Israel and still resides there today. Her natural talent wit color and form were apparent from an early age, and she has developed it into an extraordinary style. Guy studied at the Avni School of Art in Tel-Aviv in Israel 1970 to 1974, and under the world-class painter Moti Mizrahi, who has recieved a great deal of praise and recognition for her works. The paintings of Bracha Guy are shimmering with light and color and are the a perfect example of cutting edge postmodern expressionism. With color, patterns and intricate detail, Guy offers an unusual insight into the lives of women, from a feminine point of view. Her sensational canvases are filled with precise geometrics and bright, pure spots of color, with Matisse and elements of Art Nouveau.
