Baruch Nachshon

Baruch Nachshon was born in 1939 in Palestine in the city if Haifa. He started to experiment with painting when he was quite young. As time went on, and Nachshon completed his military duty, he struggled in deciding whether he should relocate to Paris where he could take advantage of the flourishing artistic communities or stay in Israel with its deep Judaic roots. He ultimately decided to stay in Israel where he began studying under Shlomo Nerani, the only pupil of Cezanne. They had been friends since they were children. The art of Nachshon is a variety of nominal material with unique approaches and techniques. His works are inspirational to him as well as others. Conveying the things that inspire him is the driving force behind his works.
