Born in the Philippines and of East Indian descent, Asha Menghrajani is a passionate and wildly creative world traveler who has embraced a number of fascinating art techniques gleaned from the many cultures she has experienced. From Chinese watercolor and calligraphy to tapestries created on loomed pure cotton yarn to industrial multipart art installations made of metal and acrylic panels, Menghrajani explores the abstract wonders of the universe in a constant quest to bring an ever-fluctuating and vibrantly original art experience to the viewer, time and time again. Currently residing in Oakland, California, Menghrajani continues to explore the infinite possibilities of artistic expression.
