Andy Craig

Andy Craig was born in Glasgow, Scotland in 1967, but moved to Lincoln, England when he was six, where he still resides today. Craig’s passion for painting was ignited when he was 13 and his mother gave him his first set of paints. From this point onwards, Craig’s focus was solely on art, and it was the only subject in school that interested him. After he finished his studies, Craig landed the position as a graphic artist for the Lincoln City Council. After this, he moved to Nottingham to work for a Games Workshop Design Studio, where he worked on their monthly magazine White Dwarf. While working on White Dwarf, Craig had the opportunity to work with many established artists, who were quick to share advice and help Craig develop his painting style. Craig finally decided to make painting his full-time career after he worked at a theatre design company.

Craig often paints colorful, sweeping skyscapes, which were at first inspired by his long train journeys back and forth to work during which he would gaze out the windows, looking to the sky ideas.
