Born in the U.K. in 1952, Alan Morgan grew up and studied art at both Swansea and Coventry Art Colleges and received a degree in Fine Art. He began his career in illustration and worked for most of the top British Publishers. Ultimately, however, Alan drifted back to his first love, which was for landscapes, and he dedicated himself to painting the scenery of the Gower Peninsula and the Mid-Wales region. His work is largely influenced by the Pre-Raphaelites and the Impressionist painters, such as Monet and Degas. Alan has a very distinctive style and the detail with which he paints has been gaining for him a reputation as one of Europe's foremost painters.
