Susan Andreason

Painter Susan Andreason knew that she would be a painter from the time she was a small child, and she has followed this career path ever since. By age sixteen, Anderson was already showing paintings in the local areas of northern New Jersey, receiving some early recognition. After graduating from the Parsons School of Design in New York City when she was 20, Andreason was hired at the Fairchild Publications as a fashion illustrator. While working professionally as an illustrator, Andreason was also developing her fine art talents at home.

Andreason has enjoyed an eclectic art career; she became proficient in the field of advertising art, and also devoted four years to ecological observation and painting through coastal travels and marine life observations. Anderson has worked with charitable organizations such as the Friends of Sea Otters, Earth Island Institute, Save the Manatee Club and the Greater Yellowstone Coalition.
