Born in 1980 in Florida, Phillip Buchanon is known for his career as a cornerback in the National Football League. After playing college football at the University of Miami where he earned All-American honors, he was selected by the Oakland Raiders in the first round of the 2002 NFL draft. Since then Buchanon has played with the Houston Texans, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and the Detroit Lions, with whom he signed earlier this year.
