Born in 1976 in Texas, Lance Berkman is known for his ongoing Major League Baseball career. After attending Rice University where he played collegiate baseball and earned the 1997 National College Player of the Year title and numerous All-America selections, he pursued a career as a professional player. “The Big Puma” made his major league debut in 1999 with the Houston Astros and he continues to play with the team. In 2009, Berkman the 300th home run of his career. During his career so far, Berkman has earned five All-Star selections and has attracted fans all over the nation.
