Born in 1965 in Ohio, Mike Benjamin made a name for himself in Major League Baseball. For most of his career he played shortstop but Benjamin also showed talented as an utility infielder. During his short but remarkable career, Benjamin played with the Sand Francisco Giants, the Philadelphia Phillies, the Boston Red Sox, and the Pittsburgh Pirates. Retiring from professional baseball in 2002, he has since focused on his family – including coaching his son’s Little League team to the Little League World Series in 2004.
