Born “Antonio Jose Armas” in 1978 in Venezuela, Tony Armas, Jr. was raised in a family passionate about baseball. His father, Tony, was an All-Star outfielder and his uncle, Marcos, was a first baseman. Armas has made a name for himself as a talented pitcher in Major League Baseball. Debuting with the Montreal Expose in 1999, he has also played for the Washington Nationals, the Pittsburgh Pirates, and the New York Mets. Armas last played for the Yankees in 2008 and is currently a free agent in the MLB.
