Ben Avram was born in Bombay, India in 1964 and immigrated to Israel in 1956. His lively oil paintings and watercolors encapsulate the essence and beauty of Israel. He paints mainly landscapes of Jerusalem, her arched alleyways, steep narrow streets, spires, citadels and gates in the wall of the ancient city. Avram has an understanding of the unique sunlight and colors of the land of Israel which he perfectly captures in his works.
