Claire Astaix was born in Paris in 1953 to Dutch parents, both of whom were artists. She only started painting in 1974 at the age of 20, but she quickly progressed. Claire enrolled in the Ecole Nationales des Beaux Arts and her first exhibition appeared at the Clermont Ferran in 1977. She has since become one of Paris’ most famed artists and her exhibitions appear regularly throughout France. Claire Astaix has since been experimenting in different forms and she is a natural in the lithography medium.
